This Privacy Policy explains how STP Networks (Pty) Ltd T/A STP Solar ("STP Solar", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and safeguards personal information in South Africa, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and other applicable laws.

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, location/town.
  • Project information: property type, usage details, system preferences gathered via the quote/system builder.
  • Communications: messages submitted via our website or WhatsApp support.
  • Technical: basic device/browser data and aggregated analytics. We do not collect sensitive unique identifiers.

Where you provide information about another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and have obtained any necessary consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and design suitable solar/electrical solutions.
  • To schedule site visits, installations and after-sales support.
  • To issue invoices, warranties and COCs where applicable.
  • To improve our website and services, including quality assurance.
  • To comply with legal obligations and industry standards.

Processing is based on your consent, to perform or enter into a contract, and/or our legitimate interests in operating a compliant solar installation business.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

  • We may share limited information with authorised suppliers/distributors for procurement, warranty registration and technical support.
  • We may share information with accredited electricians and subcontractors involved in your project, under confidentiality obligations.
  • We do not sell personal information to third parties or share it for unrelated marketing purposes.

5. Security & Storage

We implement reasonable, appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information against loss, unauthorised access or disclosure. These include controlled access, device security and staff confidentiality commitments.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, including legal, accounting and warranty requirements. When no longer needed, information is securely deleted or de-identified.
